What you need I hope it finds you

God, is this the best song I have where people go "doo-doo-doo doo-doo"? Unacceptable! My kingdom for a decent cover of "An Ode to Maybe."

Back when Patty would come over and practice her guitar stuff in front of Jenna and me, I toyed with the notion of asking her to cover (and fix) certain songs. In particular, I remember thinking that her version of the Metasciences' "Four-Color Love Story" would probably be better.

I would pay multiple dollars for a recording of that.

Good news at work today. At a meeting I very nearly missed (curse you 35E!), the other proofreaders and I were told that we'd be hired on all permanent-like within the next few weeks.

I'll be getting a letter with the details sometime next week, but even without knowing the specifics it's an obvious step up from my current temp position in every conceivable way.

It is, coincidentally, actually my week at work, as you can tell from the job estimate point allocation card they had me make several months ago:

I didn't know how to react when my boss cackled 'chaotic neutral'!

Oh man, "doo-doo-doo doo-doo" would make a great custom ringtone. Why is the rest of this song so lame!? Curse you hooks!
