Two weeks in two days

It's been a busy few days — Ol' Mex with a bunch of Lawrentians on Thursday, an outing with the coworkers on Friday, my first taste of Guitar Hero and Heroes on Friday night with Jinx and Ben, innumerable long errands since Tuesday, and, at work, nonstop intense proofreading.

Right now I'm taking a breather before possibly meeting up with the Lawrentians again at some cabin.

It's a bit of a relief that we're not actually going out again, because I have been getting terrible service everywhere recently and I'm pretty sick of it. I can make my own mixed drinks, thank you. They will be there immediately and have actual alcohol in them.

To do in the meantime: baking, videogames, and Our Bold Hero vs. the Angry Wasps. I'm fairly certain that my four-year-old camera is broken, otherwise I'd show you the tiny wasp nest in the neck of our DirecTV dish, right above the spigot I use to water my plants.

(FWIW, most of my plants are fine, but my lemon verbena is dead, dead — the dessicated remains still tasted like lemon — and Legend, my feisty arrowhead, is in a bad way after last week's heatwave. He's an indoor-only plant from now on.)
