Facebook informs me that Sockless Pete and Graham, both living in D.C. this summer, are now "friends." With my usual extreme confidence in my own character assessments, I think that they'd hit it off... but those few of you who know both of them will allow me one maniacal laugh.

I'm hoping to pull off a social hat trick or two this summer, but looking at everyone's facebook profiles is discouraging. I keep naively expecting the profiles to be a completely accurate depiction of the person in question, sort of a "My Facebook is Me" thing. But while the interests and activities info is useful, I don't think I can really say "go read this person's Facebook profile, then you'll understand."
