Now with less language-related geekiness

Drove all over in the western suburbs this weekend having various adventures and misadventures; Adam, in town for a wedding we both attended, was involved in many of them.

As I expected, we share a disgust with U.S. ag policy, especially when it comes to corn. Adam hates, hates corn. And he knows all kinds of crazy stuff about making ethanol!

(Which reminds me: where the hell are all my wonk friends?! Project for this summer: look up Op/Ed, perhaps for that game of Illuminati we never played.)

Adam also got me thinking about lawns. If I had my way — and god help us, someday I probably will — I would now consider going with wacky Japanese grass or, I dunno, some sort of rhubarb grove rather than the traditional lawn.

Ate English food on Sunday with some of Adam and Graham's guest stars. Scotch eggs, while ridiculously expensive, are just the thing on a Sunday afternoon when you're regretting drinking the champagne.
