Five: Best New-to-Me Webcomics of 2008

I already read a lot of webcomics, but I'm always trying to find more that are actually, you know, good. Here are the five best webcomics I discovered in 2008:

Pictures for Sad Children

One of my all-time favorites, it's best read in order. The same artist is also currently drawing a comic for every hour he's awake in anticipation of Hourly Comic Day.

Daisy Owl

A low-key comic about an Owl, his adopted human children, and a Polar Bear. Also best read from the beginning, although it's a bit slow to start.

Bellen!

A feel-good relationship comic you can read in no particular order. I especially liked this one.

Beartato

The various adventures of Beartato (a bear + potato) and his friend Reginald. Mostly absurd one-offs.

Kate Beaton Comics

Actually from December 2007 or so, but I can't think of anything else really good from this past year. She's best known for her History Comics.
